Thousands flocked to West Bay to enjoy the agricultural extravaganza of the Melplash Show.
Held annually at the Melplash Showground, this event has it all - though the wind proved to be a challenge for some events.
One of the main attractions this year was the Broke Freestyle Motocross Display Team. They were unfortunately unable to perform many of their stunts during the morning show because of the wind, saying there was a danger of being blown from their bikes during the jumps.
However, the majority of the show was unaffected by the blustery weather, including the livestock competitions, horse riding, and the more than 400 trade stands selling everything from locally produced food to tractors.
One popular attraction was the Discover Farming Marquee, which allowed families to learn all about agriculture and farming.
Melplash Agricultural Society chairman, Philip Hardwill, said: "Apart from the wind things have gone absolutely wonderfully. The rain has just about stayed away.
"The forecast was appalling, but we have been lucky and done alright. It is a great reward for everyone who worked hard to make it a good day. Just a huge thank you to everyone that makes it possible.
"We have more entries this year, cows, sheep and horses are up, I am just blown away by the enthusiasm of people to take part.
"The two key things hidden in the show are the £36k student sponsorship and the Discover Farming Marquee - educating people about farming is our big thing."
Don't miss Thursday's Bridport & Lyme Regis News which will feature an eight-page supplement on the show.
