Dorset Council has warned the owner of a truck on a residential road that it will be removed by November if they do not take action.
As previously reported, residents claim the vehicle - an orange classic-style Ford pick-up truck - has not been moved from Marina Gardens, off Wyke Road, for about three years.
It now appears to have become a dog poo bin as bags are discarded in the back - while moss and mould has started to grow on the road underneath.
Whilst the vehicle is not legally abandoned as it is apparently taxed, Dorset Council says it has 'started a legal process' to get it removed.
It made Echo headlines in March this year when the road was resurfaced for the first time in almost 30 years, but workers were forced to tarmac around the vehicle.

Previously the Council said they had commenced a legal process to enable the removal of the vehicle, but said it takes "time and money" and urged the owner to remove the vehicle to save "Council taxpayers".
A Council spokesperson said: "If they are having difficulties, we encourage them to get in touch with us.”
Now Dorset Council has warned that the truck could be moved by November under the Road Traffic Regulation Act, if the owner does not come forward.

A Dorset Council spokesperson said: “We are applying for a Clearway Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice (TTRN) under Section 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit stopping, loading, parking, and waiting.
"In order to comply with statutory noticing periods, the Clearway TTRN takes thirteen weeks to enact, as such we anticipate completion by the end of October.
“If this vehicle still remains on site and obstructs our work, it can then be towed away under this notice to a designated collection area.”
