Police have issued an image of a man they want to identify in connection to a road rage incident that resulted in a serious assault in Weymouth.
As previously reported, Dorset Police received a report at around 9.50am on Saturday, August 17 that a man had sustained injuries following an incident in Chamberlaine Road in Wyke Regis.
It was reported that the victim, a man aged in his 60s, was driving a black Audi A3 and was forced to stop suddenly to avoid a collision with an e-scooter.
The victim’s wife, who was a passenger in the vehicle, pulled down her window to challenge the male e-scooter rider over his riding.

He started becoming abusive and the occupants got out of the vehicle to speak to him The e-scooter rider then punched the victim, causing him to fall to the ground. He sustained a head injury that required hospital treatment.
Investigator Flo Winstanley, of Dorset County CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this incident and we have obtained an image of a man we would like to identify as part of our enquiries.
“I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
