A discarded barbecue caused a fire at a campground in West Bay.
Firefighters from Bridport tackled a fire at the Britt Valley Campground in West Bay after reports that a fire had started in the open.
A spokesperson for Bridport Fire Station said: "Once on scene it was established that people who had now left the campsite disposed of their barbecue coals into the reeds of the river bank, presumably believing they were cold.
"These then set fire to the reeds.
"Crews used a hose reel jet to dampen down.
"Please remember to dispose of your barbecues responsibly.
"They will remain hot for a long time after use."
