Emergency services including the air ambulance rushed to a man needing medical attention on Portland yesterday afternoon.
The emergency was reported to the ambulance service at 3.05pm who sent two ambulances and the air ambulance to the scene.
Police were also present to assist the ambulance service.
The man was taken by land ambulance to Dorset County Hospital.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 3.05pm on Sunday, August 18 to an incident in Fortuneswell, Portland. We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, and an air ambulance to the scene.
"We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Dorset County Hospital."
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 3.18pm on Sunday, August 18 of a man in need of medical attention in Fortuneswell on Portland.
"Officers attended to assist the ambulance service. The man was taken to hospital and officers left the scene at around 4.20pm.
"This was a medical incident and no further police action was required."
