A property in Weymouth has been cordoned off after three men broke in and stole money.

The aggravated burglary took place in Crescent Street and Dorset Police are currently at the scene with one forensic van and a police car outside the property. 

It is understood the no 'serious injuries' were sustained, according to police.

Evidence tags can be seen placed on steps leading up to the property and police tape is in place around the property. 

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said:" We received a report at 9.01pm on Saturday August 17 of an aggravated burglary at an address in Crescent Street in Weymouth.

"It is reported that three men entered the property and stole a quantity of cash.

"There are no reports of any serious injuries sustained.

"An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances and a cordon is in place to allow for an examination of the scene to be carried out. No arrests have been made at this time."
