Public Health Dorset are encouraging residents to protect themselves from a 'very contagious' disease.
Measles can be a serious infection, but it is preventable and medical experts in Dorset are urging people to get their MMR vaccines.
Both doses of the vaccines can help protect people from measles, mumps and rubella.
Anyone can get measles if they haven’t been vaccinated or if they haven’t had it before, although it’s most common in young children.
Doctor Nicky Cleave Consultant and GP said: "So measles can be a very serious illness for some people and it's very contagious and the MMR gives us the best protection against that.
"So please contact your GP practice to check whether or not you and your family have had all your vaccinations and they'll be happy to help you arrange anything that is missing."
