Several people have been injured in a crash involving a motorbike and a car earlier today.
The A352 Acreman Street has been closed due to the crash from Herrison Road at Charlton Down to The Folly at the turn off to Buckland Newton in Cerne Abbas.
It is understood that the injuries are not life changing or life threatening, according to police.
The road remains closed whilst the vehicles are awaiting recovery.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area and find an alternative rout.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 12.53pm on Saturday, August 17 to a report of a collision involving a car and a motorbike on the A352 in Godmanstone.
"Officers attended with the fire and ambulance services.
"The rider of the motorbike and occupants of the car have been taken to hospital for treatment. Injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
"Recovery has been requested for the vehicles. Road closures are in place."
