A woman threatened to kill a 12-year-old child and his mother in his home.
Sade Smith, of Blandford, appeared at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Friday, August 16.
She pleaded guilty to using threatening words with intent to cause fear of unlawful violence.
The charge refers to an incident on July 25.
Christina Norgan, prosecuting, read from a statement from the victim’s mother.
She said: “At about 10.10pm I began to hear shouting from next door.
“The defendant and her boyfriend were shouting and slamming their garden fence.
“The defendant was staying in a caravan at the back of my property.
“I started videoing the shouting and I shouted ‘shut up’ out of the window and said I was phoning the police.
“My 12-year-old son came to my bedroom and I told the police they were upsetting my son.
“They must have been able to hear him crying.”
Smith is then heard shouting “I will get you and your son, you are going to have it.”
When the victim’s mother was outside the room, he heard the defendant shout “I am going to kill you and your son”
The mother said she was “disgusted by this” and said her son was scared and shaken.
She added: “He was hysterical.
“I did not believe the threats were genuine as she was intoxicated, but my son thought she would carry it out.”
Lee Christmas, mitigating, said: “The defendant suffers from a number of mental health issues.
“She cannot recall making the threats but accepts it did happen.”
Iain Stevenson, chair of the Magistrates’ bench, said: “This was a particularly nasty incident involving a 12-year-old.”
The case was adjourned until a hearing at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, October 24, for pre-sentence reports to be prepared.
Smith was released on conditional bail, with conditions not to visit various roads in Blandford and not to contact the victim or his mother.
