An exciting new electronic bike scheme will be officially unveiled next week.
Beryl e-bikes are coming to Weymouth, Portland and Dorchester, where 121 e-bikes will be made available across 30 bays from Tuesday, August 20.
The Beryl team are inviting members of the public to come to and ask questions and will get special discount opportunities.
They will be near the beach opposite Gloucester Street from 10am to 6pm.
E-bikes are hired from and returned to designated ‘Beryl bays’. These locations have been carefully located following consultation with communities and key stakeholders, says Dorset Council.
The scheme offers flexible payment options such as Pay-As-You-Ride, Minute Bundle, and various pass options.
It is operated by Beryl on behalf of Dorset Council, with initial set-up costs funded by the council.
Beryl currently operates a 202 bike/e-bike share scheme with Dorset Council with bikes available to hire from 55 bays across Wimborne, Colehill, West Parley, West Moors, Ferndown, Upton and Corfe Mullen.
