A LARGE kitchen knife was found on the floor on a path in Weymouth town centre.
PCSOs in Weymouth were patrolling the town centre this morning when they came across the knife.
It was found on the floor down a side path through some houses in a residential area of Weymouth.
The knife was taken for disposal.
A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "We have taken it for everyone's safety and it will be disposed of accordingly."
