A lorry has crashed into a level crossing causing a road to be closed and trains to be delayed.
Officers are currently at the scene of a single-vehicle collision at a level crossing near Woodsford Quarry in Dorchester.
It is reported that a lorry has collided with a barrier.
The road was temporarily closed between Lewell and Crossways to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
At 6pm, the road closure was lifted.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "We would ask motorists to please seek alternative routes."
South Western Railway have said that the crash means that Waterloo to Weymouth services will start and terminate at Wool.
A spokesperson for South Western Railway said: "A problem at a level crossing is affecting the railway between Dorchester South and Moreton Dorset. Trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised because of this problem.
"We have been informed that trains can now run at a reduced speed on all lines and disruption is still expected until 3pm."
