A housing association put on a big birthday bash for its residents as they celebrated their diamond milestone.
Lawrance Court on Southill Garden Drive, Weymouth had a big party for residents of their court and Foundry Close, another of the Housing 21 properties.
Local Housing Manager Sharon Grange was joined by Operations Manager Karry Harvey, staff and residents, their family and friends as they celebrated 60 years of the company.
Residents had a blast with many up on their feet dancing to the live entertainment provided by the Tambourine Man.
Mrs Grange who has worked at the company for 21 years said: “Everyone had a great time. Billy the Tambourine man performed and there was plenty of food and drinks and fun and games.
“I love working here and I intend to stay here until I retire. All the residents mix in and enjoy themselves. It’s one of those courts that you can socialise if you want or stay on your own if you prefer.”
Marilyn Bates has lived at Lawrance Court for around seven years and helped to organise the party.
She said: “It’s party time. Time to let down our hair. It’s a lovely get together and a great opportunity for us all to enjoy ourselves.”
Housing 21 is a leading not for profit provider of extra care and retirement living schemes for older people of modest means.
