An emergency service held an open day to raise money for a vital charity.
The Swanage Fire Station on Kings Road, held its open day on Saturday, August 10. The six-hour event featured a host of activities from live fire and rescue demonstrations, a teddy bear zip line, a tombola, raffle, BBQ and more.
Funds from the day were being donated to the Firefighters Charity, which supports the mental, physical and social needs of all serving and retired members of the UK's fire family.
Other emergency services turned up on the day to support the event.
A spokesperson for DWFire said: “What a fantastic open day we had today raising lots of money for the Firefighters Charity.
“Thank you very much for everyone that turned up and visited, I hope you all enjoyed it. Thank you also to the police, Swanage Coastguard and ambulance service that also turned up supported our day. Thank you for the ambulance crew that took part in a couple of our displays.
“Thank you to all helpers today, the day could not have run without you especially when the station were carrying out the displays. Unfortunately it’s too many to list here but thank you to all the local shops that donated raffle and auction prizes."
“It enables us to raise plenty of money for the firefighters charity. The final thank you goes to all the station personnel that organised and took part today.”
