A road closure was in place after a two-vehicle crash happened between Dorchester and Blandford this morning.
The collision happened on the A354 Blandford Hill and affected traffic in both directions at Whatcombe Down.
The road is now reported to have re-opened.
Paramedics and police officers attended the collision but it is not yet known the conditions of any injuries sustained.
Motorists are being advised to find alternatives if possible as a road closure is still in place as the recovery of the damaged vehicles takes place.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: we received a report at 10.07am of a two vehicle collision on the A354 at Winterborne Whitechurch.
"Officers have attended, along with the ambulance service. We do not have any update on injuries at this time.
"Road closures have been put in place as recovery is being arranged."
South Western Ambulance service has been contacted for more information.
