A museum is offering a free one-off tour of a famous Dorset author.
The Dorset Museum and Art Gallery on High West Street in Dorchester is offering a bespoke tour of the museum to learn more about the world of Thomas Hardy.
Visitors will get the opportunity to learn more about Hardy’s life through a selection of objects in the museum’s collection, spanning from his childhood through to his death.
It is part of the museum’s heritage open day tours taking place on Thursday, September 15. The Hardy tour will start at 1pm and last an hour.
Entry to the tour is free but booking is essential, and a ticket for the tour gives the owner access to the specified tour only.
