A man is due to appear in court following the demonstrations in Weymouth.
As previously reported, three people were arrested during the demonstrations on Sunday, August 4. An anti-immigrant protest billed as 'Enough is Enough' took place whilst a counter demo by Stand Up to Racism was held at same location.
David Fuller, a 62-year-old man from Yeovil, was arrested and has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place. He is due to appear at Weymouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 2.
Police have also provided an update on the other two arrests reported on the day.
A 42-year-old man from Yeovil who was arrested on suspicion of public order offences. Police have revealed that he was further arrested on suspicion of obstructing or resisting a constable in the execution of their duty and has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
A 27-year-old man from Weymouth who was arrested on suspicion of assault was subsequently issued with a conditional caution.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Officers will be continuing to review evidence and ensure that action is taken against anyone who is reported to have committed an offence."
