Residents in Dorset are being reminded that paint cans can be recycled with either the council or Crown Paints.
Whilst the cans can be dropped off at household recycling centres across Dorset, they can also be taken to Crown Decorating Centres.
This is part of its 'Can Back' scheme which was launched in 2013 and has seen 200 tonnes of paint cans recycled in the last 12 months alone.
The scheme, which operates from 120 of our stores, including in Chickerell is open to all Crown Decorating Centres account holders and encourages decorators to return empty paint cans free of charge so they can be recycled.
A spokesperson for Dorset Council Waste Services said: "Did you know, as well as dropping them off at our household recycling centres, paint cans can be recycled by Crown Paints?
"The 'Can Back' scheme lets people bring back paint from any manufacturer. Just ensure the cans are clean and dry, with less than 1cm of dried paint left."
