A Dorset restaurant has shut after four months of trading.
The Merchant House was an independent restaurant based in Brewery Square, Dorchester.
The business took over the former premises of Luciano’s, and the Merchant House team managed to flip the business around in just three weeks.
Following Luciano’s shock closure, many people were left with meal vouchers, which Merchant House agreed to honour despite having no links to the other business.
Prior to becoming Luciano's, the business was part of the Carluccio's chain.
The Echo has attempted to contact the Merchant House team and Brewery Square for comment.
A notice was previously placed on the front door of the restaurant stating the landlord had taken the premises back and secured the building.
That notice has since been removed and there is now a sign directing all enquiries to the Brewery Square Development Company Limited and the Brewery Square Concierge Team.
The restaurant has also been removed from Brewery Square's online list of restaurants.
Upon the Echo's attempts to ring the business, the call dropped after the first ring.
It is understood that the business employed up to eight members of staff.
