Other applications to an air handling system at Dorset County Hospital, which will result in the loss of outdoor seating on a terrace, is being requested for planning consent.

Dorset Council is being asked to agree to the work on level 2 adjoining Ridgeway Ward which is currently being refurbished, the work already underway.

The new large piece of equipment will be sited on a flat roof area currently used for seating outside the cafeteria – taking up around half the space available.
