Excitement is building for a quirky Dorset festival.
The Dog, Sausage and Cider Festival is set to make a triumphant return on Sunday, August 25, from 11am.
Last year, thousands of people flocked to the family-favourite event which takes place on the fields adjacent to the Springhead pub.
Not only will there be a great selection of food and drink, but there is also a bumper line-up of live music with performances by the Leggomen, Weymouth Ukuleleans, Captains Big Band and more.
There are plenty of activities for the whole family to get involved with bungee trampolines and a bouncy castle amongst the vast array of kids entertainment, more than 50 craft stalls and even a petting zoo complete with Shetland ponies, goats, snakes, and reptiles.
There are even special activities for dogs including a dog show, a photobooth, muscular therapy and a vet will be on site to offer advice.

Of course, the festival wouldn’t be complete without the ‘Mighty Sausage Throwing Contest.’
Entry is £3 and children under 16 go free.
