Camp Bestival 2024 is a huge success as the night ends with a bang.

The final day of the hit Dorset festival saw stand-out performances on the Castle stage which welcomed kitchen disco diva Sophie Ellis-Bextor, a Funk and Soul house party set by Craig Charles, special guest James Arthur, as well as Pete Tong Ibiza Classics who performed alongside Jules Buckley and The Essential Orchestra.

Sophie Ellis Bexter performed a very upbeat set full of dance tunes and despite a lot of audience members not knowing all the lyrics - they still put in a good effort at bopping along.

The crowd did however go mad when they heard the opening tune to Murder on the Dance Floor the energy completely changed.

The singer also wowed crowds with a brilliant cover of ABBA’s ‘Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight),’ eliciting plenty of screams, whoops and singing from the audience.

The kitchen diva was so sweet to the crowd, constantly chatting in between songs and expressing how happy she was to see everyone.

Following her set, there was a definite buzz in the atmosphere whilst everyone waited for James Arthur.

A lot of the younger members of the audience screamed at James Arthur’s appearance, and a while after he came on stage, he apologised that his voice wasn’t on top form due to touring for so long.

Despite this he still performed a brilliant set full of his popular hits that even if you weren’t a James Arthur fan - you still would have known most of the lyrics.

A particularly poignant song was ‘Trainwreck’ which the singer described as ‘the hardest song I ever had to write’ due to being about his own mental health.

Later in the set he also dedicated ‘Cars Outside’ to his driver Wayne who sadly lost his battle with cancer recently.

A day of live music was rounded off with a lively set from Pete Tong’s Ibiza classics - a great way to end a jam-packed weekend.

The evening was even rounded off with a fireworks spectacular.

As everyone packed up to go home for another year, Rob and Josie da Bank, Camp Bestival co-founders said: “Wowzers, we did it again and this time the weather was on our side.

"We hope everybody enjoyed the festival, personally we felt it was one of our best and loved seeing you all stamping your passports, dancing the night away, sewing, painting and trying new things.

"When we walk around the site and see you all so happy it makes all the hard work worth it. Hopefully see you next year. Lots of love and safe travels."
