Camp Bestival is in full-swing at Lulworth Castle.

Thousands of festival-going families have made their way into the grounds of Dorset’s Lulworth Castle, ready for a weekend to remember as Camp Bestival Dorset gets underway for its 16th year.

Last night saw incredible performances from smash-hit pop band McFly on the start of a jam-packed weekend.

Tonight, singer-songwriter Paloma Faith will headline the main stage and wow Dorset audiences.

Paloma Faith’s debut album “Do You Want The Truth or Something Beautiful” announced the arrival of a new musical force who was very different from the pop princesses who came before.

Paloma had an edge and an honesty rarely seen in the pop landscape, something that was embraced by fans around the globe.

Rock Band The Darkness will also take to the stage- fronted by Justin Hawkins the band went from opening Robbie Williams’ Knebworth megagigs to headline Reading and Leeds in the space of 12 months, whilst their debut album ‘Permission to Land’ sold by the millions.

Then, as quickly as they had arrived, they were gone, soon after the release of their critically acclaimed second album in 2005 for a hiatus that lasted 7 years.

James Arthur will also be appearing as a special guest alongside Orbital, the Scissor Sisters co-lead vocalist Jake Shears, legendary rock band and reclaimed UK chart-topper Sophie Ellis-Bextor all descending onto the fields.
