A residential road in Dorchester will be closed while electric works are carried out.
Windsor Road is to be shut at its junction with Damers Road for a distance of approximately five metres.
The works are due to begin on Monday, July 29 and it is anticipated they will be completed by Friday, August 9.
A temporary road closure order has been made which will enable Scottish and Southern Power Distribution safe access to carry out works.
An alternative route will be signed using: Damers Road - Marie Road - Cambridge Road - Windsor Road.
The closure order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
For more information about the work being undertaken and access arrangements, call Scottish and Southern Power Distribution on 01489 346444.
