Emergency services rushed to Weymouth Beach after a man was pulled from he sea.
Paramedics, police officers and lifeguards are currently on the scene near the Pier Bandstand at Weymouth seafront.
It's understood a man was pulled from the sea and treated by paramedics before being taken away in an ambulance.
Multiple police cars are at the scene as Dorset Police attended to assist with the ambulance service.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: "Officers are assisting the ambulance service with a medical incident at this location."
An air ambulance was called to airlift the patient but was stood down.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 10.04am on Friday, July 26 to an incident in Weymouth.
"We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, two critical care cars and a first responder to the scene and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Dorset County Hospital.”
