There have been reports of queuing traffic on the A35 due to 'an obstruction' in the road.
Traffic travelling along the A35 from Dorchester to Bere Regis have been experiencing some queues and delays after an unknown object was found in a 'live lane of traffic near to the Shell garage roundabout and A31.
Dorset Police has attended the scene to remove the object and the road is now clear with traffic returning to normal.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 3.50pm of an obstruction in a live lane of traffic at the Shell Roundabout on the A31 at Bere Regis.
"Officers attended and the obstruction was removed shortly after 4pm."
