A man was moved on from Weymouth seafront after being ‘abusive and threatening’.
Police received a complaint of anti-social behaviour along the Weymouth Esplanade sometime during yesterday (Wednesday, July 24) evening.
According to reports, street drinkers were gathering and causing a disturbance in the area.
Most of the group were dispersed from the area, but one man became threatening and abusive to one of the officers.
Response officers assisted to move the male on.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police, said: “Police received a complaint of Anti-Social Behaviour along Weymouth Esplanade of street drinkers gathering and causing a disturbance.
“On arrival, most of the group dispersed with no issues however one male did not appreciate my attendance and decided to become abusive and threatening.
“A thank you to our Response Officers who attended my assistance shout to help move the male on whilst also being busy dealing with our incoming 999 calls.”
