A man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery in Dorchester after 'threats' were made to a shop worker
A 27-year-old man from Portsmouth, Hampshire, has been arrested after Dorset Police received a report of a man taking items before leaving without paying at the Curry's store in Weymouth Avenue
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Dorset Police received a report at around 2.15pm on Friday 3 May 2024 that a man had made threats to a staff member at the Curry's store in Weymouth Avenue before taking a key fob from them.
"It was reported that the man then took several items of stock from the shelves before he left without paying.
"Following enquiries by officers and a CCTV appeal, a 27-year-old man from Portsmouth in Hampshire was arrested on suspicion of robbery.
"He has been released on police bail as enquiries continue."
