A SEARCH is underway to locate a missing diver off the Dorset coast.
Emergency services received a report that a diver had gone missing off Swanage Bay.
HM Coastguard is coordinating the search for the missing person; they were alerted just after 6pm.
Two coastguard helicopters are assisting with the search, which spanned across the coast from Swanage to Poole Bay.
Swanage, Poole and Yarmouth RNLI lifeboats and Swanage and Poole Coastguard Rescue Teams are also working to locate the missing diver.
A spokesperson for the RNLI said: "Poole and Swanage RNLI were tasked by HM Coastguard at 6pm on Tuesday, July 23.
"Yarmouth RNLI were subsequently tasked at 6.30am on Wednesday July 24."
The search is currently still underway.
