A man has pleaded not guilty to possessing a knife in a public place.
Scott Richardson, of South Street in Crewkerne, appeared before Weymouth Magistrates Court on Friday, July 19.
The charge states that Richardson, 29, had a knife in his possession without good reason or lawful authority whilst in custody at Weymouth Police Station on Radipole Lane in Weymouth.
He had been arrested for an unrelated offence.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge.
He was represented by Simon Lacey. Kate Moore was prosecuting.
The case was adjourned for a trial on October 14, 2024.
Richardson was released on unconditional bail.
