- EVEN though it rained the Dorset Close club members and friends recently enjoyed a coach trip to Paignton. The next trip planned is to Sidmouth on Saturday September 20.
Due to falling membership, the Good Companions club are merging the Wednesday night bingo with the Thursday afternoon sessions and future sessions will be held on the Thursday afternoons.
They are hoping that this will encourage more younger members to come along to the club.
One of the ladies from the Dorset Close club told me that she was very pleased with the help that she received from Craig and Glen of the Youth Forum, they did a very good job on her garden, clipping and removing overgrown bushes. It is nice to hear positive comments about the young people in the area.
