A Dorset based musician has created a song for the RNLI’s milestone birthday year.

Weymouth musician Will Adams is behind ‘The Mermaid Song’ which was made to celebrate 200 years of the RNLI saving lives at sea.

The CD is £4.99 and can be purchased at any Weymouth Lifeboat event with the money going straight back to the lifesaving charity.

The song includes the lyrics ‘"good old Weymouth came to rescue me, good old Weymouth we'll be home in time for tea,” and recognises the time that the crew saved Mr Adams’s own life.

Staff and volunteers at Weymouth Lifeboat Station have issued a huge ‘thank you to all the individuals involved in the making of the CD.”
