A motorcyclist has been injured in a crash causing traffic chaos on the A351.
Dorset Police was called to a crash involving a motorbike which has left its rider with injuries to his leg and hands.
The incident happened on Soldiers Road in Norden, near to its junction with the A351 with police officers and paramedics attending.
The injured man was treated at the scene and then taken to hospital via ambulance.
A road closure was put in place causing delays to traffic in both directions along the A351 from Stoborough to Corfe Castle.
Traffic was affected from the Furzebrook tuning in Stoborough to the Norden Roundabout.
The road closure was lifted at 3.30pm.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "At 1.52pm on Thursday, July 18, Dorset Police received a report of a single vehicle collision on Soldiers Road in Norden.
"It is reported that a motorcyclist has sustained injuries to his legs and hands. Officers are currently in attendance with the ambulance service."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 1.47pm on Thursday, July 18 to an incident near Wareham.
"We sent a double-crewed land ambulance, an operations officer and a first responder to the scene and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Poole Hospital.”
