Fire crews rushed to the scene of a crash following reports that people were trapped.
Two crews from Sherborne and Yeovil attended a two-vehicle crash on A30 Yeovil Road.
It was reported at the time that there were people trapped inside of the cars, however upon the firefighter’s arrival, everyone had managed to make it out.
As previously reported by the Echo, the incident took place at around 7.30am on Tuesday morning.
One person received treatment from paramedics and firefighters made the scene safe and managed traffic until police officers arrived.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews from Sherborne and Yeovil attended a road traffic collision with reported persons trapped involving two vehicles.
“On arrival all persons were out of the vehicles and one casualty in care of the Ambulance service. Crews made scene safe and managed traffic control until police arrival.”
Recovery was arranged for the vehicles and the road was cleared at around 8.50am.
Motorists were advised to seek alternative routes whilst the incident was dealt with.
