Dorset residents are urging people to take advantage of free health checks.
Public Health Dorset is encouraging people who are aged between 40 and 74 to get their NHS Health Check.
It is a free check-up on overall health and can tell people whether they are at higher risk of getting certain health problems, such as: heart disease diabetes kidney disease and strokes
During the check-up doctors will discuss how to reduce the risk of these conditions.
For people aged over 65, advice on what symptoms to look out for for dementia will also be offered.
A spokesperson for Public Health Dorset said: "The NHS Health Check is a free check-up of your overall health.
"If you’re aged between 40 and 74 and get an invite from your GP, it is important that you accept it and book your appointment."
