A primary school teacher is 'unbelievably proud' of one of her pupils who is following his artistic dreams.
Year six student Owen who attends St Andrew's Primary School on Littlemoor Road has a passion for art and and thanks to the support from school staff, the youngster recently hosted his very own art show.
After creating his amazing pieces, Owen made invitations and sent them out to staff, pupils and his family.
He even created VIP passes for those extra special guests and wrote an artist statement so that those attending would understand his process.
Miss Forden, who has been mentoring Owen in his art skills, said: “Owen has worked so hard this year in all areas- especially his art. Everyone at St Andrew's is unbelievably proud of him, I just hope he remembers me when he's a famous artist."
The showcase was a huge success with around 40 people attending to view the budding artist's work.
One piece of work was sold to the school's headteacher, Mr France, to hang in the corridor and Owen has also been invited to teach some of the younger children about the techniques that he uses in his artwork.
Before they left, guests were given a limited edition print of one of Owen’s pieces.
