The body of a man has washed up on Weymouth Beach, police have confirmed.
A huge emergency presence descended on the beach this morning shortly after 10.45am on Monday.
Police, paramedics and the coastguard were sent to an area of the beach near the Pavilion.

A cordon was set up from the Pavilion to the Boat Café while emergency services dealt with the incident.
It remained in place throughout the day.
Shortly before 5pm, Dorset Police confirmed to the Echo that a body of a man aged in his 20s was found in the water near Weymouth Pavilion.

A spokesperson for the force said the man's family have been informed.
"Emergency services attended and a cordon is in place while enquiries are carried out to establish the full circumstances of the death," they said.
"The man’s family has been informed and our thoughts are with them at this time."
