The wait is nearly over as a summer of sunflowers is set to return THIS WEEKEND.
Dorchester’s Summer of Sunflower’s sees the town taken over by the beautiful and bright flowers.
During the event which begins on Saturday, July 20, visitors can enjoy sunflower sculptures suspended across South Street, planters full of the bright flowers, eco-friendly sunflower paintings with refreshed paint, beautiful sunflower varieties growing all summer long at Borough Gardens, as well as spectacular sunflower-themed shop windows.
There will even be a ‘Sunflower Day’ full of activities for people of all ages to enjoy on Saturday August 24 which is set to take place South Street between 11am and 3pm.

As part of the seasonal event, Maiden Castle Farm are expecting to open their gates to visitors to enjoy the spectacular sunflower trail by mid-August.
