An elderly pedestrian was taken to hospital after a crash with a car.
Following the incident which took place in Hope Square, Weymouth, a woman in her 80s received hospital treatment for injuries which are believed to have been minor.
Police and the ambulance service attended the crash which took place on Saturday morning.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 10.28am on Saturday, July 13 of a collision in Hope Square in Weymouth involving a car and a pedestrian.
“The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 80s, was taken to hospital for treatment to what were believed to be minor injuries and officers left the scene at around 11.05am.”
A witness said: “It happened right outside the drama club in hope street. It happened at about 10.21am and the ambulance arrived in 11 mins and the police very shortly after.”
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 10:21hrs on Saturday 13 July to an incident in Weymouth. We sent a double-crewed land ambulance to the scene and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Dorset County Hospital.”
