The A35 was blocked both ways due to a crash. 

The crash took place at around 8am between B3150 Stinsford Hill (Stinsford Roundabout) and Cuckoo Lane (Troy Town turn-off). 

Firefighters attended the scene as well as the ambulance service.

Heavy traffic was reported in the area. 

The accident was cleared at around 9.30am. 

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue said: "We received a call from the ambulance service at 7.48am about a road traffic collision.

"We attended but upon arrival the fire service weren't required."
