A homeless encampment has been found on a Weymouth walking trail.
Police patrolled Rodwell Trail this morning following reports that a group of homeless people had set up an encampment.
Police say that the encampment was no longer in use and that Dorset Council will clear the area.
A spokesperson for Weymouth & Dorset Police said: "Officers have been out this morning, carrying out foot patrols as part of our 100 Days of Summer initiative.
"During our patrols, we walked along The Rodwell Trail, following reports that a group of homeless people had set up an encampment.
