An afternoon of live music and entertainment is returning to Chickerell.

Picnic in the Park is back in Willowbed Field today, Saturday, from 1pm-8pm.

There will be plenty of opportunities to dance and sing at the top of your lungs at this free event with music from Modern Disciples, The Shakespearos, Slight Return and Aaron & Barbara.

Although it may be a little bit overcast throughout the day, the temperature could reach a high of 19 degrees.

As well as live entertainment, there will also be a bar, food and ice cream stalls, charity stalls, a funfair and additional side shows.

Visitors are also invited to bring their own picnic – in keeping with the events name.

Organisers are also encouraging people to take their rubbish home.
