FURTHER repairs are being planned to the wall around Thomas Hardy’s house, Max Gate, in Alington Avenue, Dorchester.

Listed buildings consent had previously been sought for two short sections of wall repairs by the National Trust, with the latest application dealing with an 11-metre long section.

The organisation plans to demolish the unstable section and re-build, like for like, using existing bricks.
