Businesses in Dorset have reported scam phone calls claiming to be from the fire service.
Dorset Fire Service has reported that scammers are calling from various phone numbers to local businesses pretending to work for the service.
The callers have been claiming to work for the service and trying to sell advertising in a fire safety magazine.
The fire service is urging the public to be wary of these scam calls and to contact Trading Standards.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue service said: "Calls are being made from various mobile numbers to local businesses, claiming to be working for us and selling advertising in a fire safety magazine.
"We do not sell anything, nor do we ask someone else to sell on our behalf. Any genuine contact from DWFRS can be validated by phone or email.
"If you are contacted in this way, please report to your local Trading Standards."
