A father and son from Weymouth had the ultimate England fan experience on Saturday night when they met England midfielder Jude Bellingham and gave TV and radio presenter Jim White a lift back to his hotel.
Matt Brown, 39, from Weymouth has been following the England national team around Germany with his son Jack, 20, as they reached the semi-finals of Euro 2024.
Jack has Langerhans' cell histiocytosis and is in a wheelchair because of his condition.
His favourite player is Jude Bellingham and he has had a special flag made up with the Three Lions star on it.
After England's dramatic penalty shootout win over Switzerland in the quarter-final on Saturday night, Matt and Jack stayed behind and waited for the players to leave the stadium whilst traffic died down.
The pair saw Jude Bellingham and shouted to him to try and get a photo.
Matt said: "We were just trying to get a photo of him, we shouted saying 'any chance of a picture'.
"He was amazing, he actually got the security guard to move some of the security gates so that he could come and have a photo with us.
"He is such a nice bloke, we showed him the flag, and he said he appreciated us spending the money on it.
"It was very emotional, I wish I could have videoed Jack's reaction, but his smile says it all really."
After meeting the England star, Matt and Jack made their way to their car and bumped into Sky Sports and TalkSport presenter Jim White, whose phone battery had died and was struggling to get back to his hotel.
Matt said: "It was a bit surreal, his phone was dead and I brought my car to Germany because of Jack's wheelchair.
"I said I can give you a lift to your hotel, he was staying in Dusseldorf.
"We had him in the car for 30 minutes and it was amazing, it was like having TalkSport live in my car, we just talked football for half an hour.
"I said to Jack if I had an internal camera, people would see he is the nicest bloke.
"It was such a good story, we saw England win on penalties, met Jude Bellingham and then had Jim White in our car."
Matt and Jack will continue to follow England and will be in Dortmund on Wednesday for the semi-final and, they hope, in Berlin for the final.
Matt added: "I believe we can win it, we are over here until the end."
