Bournemouth Airport handles hundreds of thousands of passengers each year, with a huge amount of flights leaving from the venue as a result.
Airports across the UK ask that passengers arrive with a bit of time before their flight to help make their journey smoother, including Bournemouth.
If you’re travelling via Bournemouth Airport this year, you might be wondering how much time you should arrive at the airport before your flight.
When should you arrive at Bournemouth Airport before a flight?
On their Passenger Information page on their website, Bournemouth Airport explained how early passengers should arrive before their flight.
They recommend arriving at the terminal "at least 2 hours before departure, even if you are using online check-in".
Check-in desks at the airport open two to three hours before the flight is due to depart.
In terms of other instructions around check-in, Bournemouth Airport states: "Many authorities require a passport that’s valid for at least six months from the time you fly. If you need help and advice, visit the UK Passport website.
"On domestic flights, airlines now require to see appropriate photo identity. Please check with your airline about which forms of photo identity are acceptable.
"It is important that you check with your airline to confirm your flight status as we are not able to take any responsibility for passengers missing their allocated check-in time."
Places to eat and drink at Bournemouth Airport
Before going through security at Bournemouth Airport you could get a hot drink or a bite to eat from the Coffee Pantry which is "a small independent artisan coffee shop & bar".
On the Bournemouth Airport website, it says: "Perfect for a quick bite if you’re in a rush, or if you have a little more time on your hands, find a comfy corner and relax with a hot cuppa served by the amazing baristas, a glass of prosecco or a pint with your friends.
