A man has been arrested following a two vehicle crash in Weymouth.
As previously reported, the B3159 Dorchester Road was partially blocked due to a crash near the Queen Victoria Statue at 4.26pm on Wednesday, July 3.
Dorset Police has today confirmed that the crash involved a motorbike and a car.
Officers were in attendance at the scene as well as the ambulance service.
There were reports of minor injuries and a person was taken to Dorset County Hospital.
A nineteen year old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of driving offences.
He has been released under investigation while enquiries into the incident continue.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "At 4.26pm on Wednesday, July 3 2024, we received a report of a two-vehicle road traffic collision involving a car and a motorbike on Dorchester Road in Weymouth.
"Officers attended with the ambulance service. The road was temporarily blocked. Minor injuries were reported.
"A 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences.
"He has been released under investigation as enquiries continue."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 4.23pm on Wednesday July 3 to an incident in Weymouth.
"We sent a double-crewed land ambulance to the scene and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Dorset County Hospital.”
