A man has suffered injuries to his arm in an assault in Weymouth town centre.
Officers from Dorset Police were called to a man who had been found with an injury to his arm at a taxi rank in Westham Road in Weymouth.
Following enquiries, it was reported that the injured man – aged in his 20s – had been assaulted by a man who was known to him outside Snookes bar in Caroline Place.
The injured man did not require immediate hospital treatment, according police.
Officers from Dorset Police have only just released the information surrounding the assault which took place at 11.10pm on Saturday, June 29.
They are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Police Constable Chloe Seaward, of Weymouth and Portland police, said: “We are carrying out a number of enquiries into this incident and I am keen to hear from anyone with information that might assist our enquiries.
“I understand there were a number of other people in the area at the time of the assault and I would urge anyone who saw what happened to please contact us.
“Finally, I would like to hear from anyone who has captured any relevant footage, either on dashcam or home CCTV.”
