A NEW after-dark Halloween attraction will open at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest this autumn.

The newly designed illuminated trail, filled with spooky surprises, will be open from October 25 to November 3.

The trail opens at dusk, leading visitors through the forest to discover its terrifying secrets through lights, animations and actors.

Hidden amongst the trees lies a secret cemetery with a ghostly undertaker and woodland spirits watching from the shadows.

The trail is not for the faint-hearted, with encounters including wicked witches, horrible highwaymen and gigantic spiders.

Visitors can whet their appetites with Halloween-themed treats such as 'bewitched' burgers and 'devilishly decadent' hot chocolates.

Natalie Crabb, recreation manager for Forestry England at Moors Valley, said: "We are really excited about our amazing new illuminated Halloween trail and can’t wait for our visitors to see it.

"It’s going to be a great way to have some spooky fun this Halloween."

Matthew Findlay, director of live experiences for RG Live, said: "Visitors will be enchanted by the magical illuminated trail through the forest, captivated by our cast of skilled actors, and spooked by the intricately crafted props."

Limited tickets are on sale, with prices starting at £12 for adults and £8 for children.
