A young travel consultant from Weymouth has been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year at a top industry awards event.
Amy Frost, 23, started her apprenticeship with Hays Travel in August 2023 and is due to complete it later this year.
Now she could be in to win at The Travel Industry Awards 2024, which celebrates those in the industry who have raised the bar and stood out from their competitors over the past 12 months.
The awards are organised by travel newspaper, Travel Trade Gazette (TTG).
Amy said: "I am over the moon to be shortlisted for the Apprentice of the Year award. It is an incredible achievement, and I am really looking forward to attending the awards ceremony in September.
“I am so lucky to work with such a supportive team. Our team were recently recognised as one of the top travel agents in the UK, which makes me so proud!"
Branch manager, Hayley Gadd, who was crowned Manager of the Year at the TTG Travel Industry Awards 2023, added: “We are super proud of Amy. Completing the apprenticeship is no mean feat and takes a lot of time and dedication.
"On top of that she offers her customers amazing service and really lives by our Hays Travel values. We all wish her the best of luck on the night!"
Over the years, Hays Travel in Weymouth has received many prestigious awards. In April this year, the branch was shortlisted as one of the top five travel agents in the South West in a list complied by the TTG.
